I’m Richard — lifelong Scuba Addict (nearly thirty years underwater and counting), Volunteer Paramedic with Yorkshire Ambulance Service, husband to Kay, and proud owner of two very opinionated Schnauzers.

After three decades bouncing between Supply Chain and R&D at the Global FMCG company, Unilever, I was lucky enough to hang up the corporate boots and pour my time, energy, and savings into ppO2 Dive Works. The goal is simple: offer proper, customer‑focused servicing for Scuba and Air‑Gunning kit across West Yorkshire, along with reliable supplies of Compressed Air and Technical Breathing Gases. It’s a world built on safety, engineering, precision, and doing things properly – qualities I developed during my career at Unilever and which appealed to me long before I decided to make a business out of them.

Thirty years of UK diving has taken me from a single 15‑litre cylinder, through Twins, and eventually onto my trusty AP Diving Inspiration Rebreather — my companion around the UK coastline for more than a decade. That journey, combined with a long technical career in one of the world’s greatest global businesses, means I know what good engineering looks like… and what Divers actually need. No upselling, no nonsense — just solid, honest service.
